the other day while the hubby and i were at burger king getting breakfast we saw this guy with a truck full of 2x4's stop in the middle of the road. he got out of his truck when to the back then got back in and pulled his truck off to the side of the road. the light turned red so he ran out to the road and started picking up 2x4's out of the middle of the road and carried them back to the side. Apparently he had dropped quite a bit out of his truck because he made a couple rounds from the truck to the road. then two cars at the light turned on their four ways, got out of their vehilces and started to help the man pick up the 2x4's out of the middle of the road. two men and a lady in heals also made two rounds to the road and the truck. i was so amazed to see such generosity it had been a while since i had seen such kindness, even when it comes to just holding open the door for someone. at work the other day i was just getting there for my shift, there was a guy behind me so i help open the door he walked through and said (with an odd look on his face).. "thank you.....im still not use to that". im not sure what he ment by that exactly. but have people stopped caring that much..enough to not even hold open a door for someone!? i mean really, what has this world come to!?
